Independent brewer T&R Theakston Ltd is toasting its success after collecting a coveted prize at the Arts & Business Yorkshire Awards 2006.
Theakstons won the Arts, Business & Brand Identity Award, sponsored by Logistik Ltd, for its partnership with the Harrogate International Festival and title sponsorship of the Theakstons Old Peculier Harrogate Crime Writing Festival, a celebration of crime and detective literature and Europe’s leading crime fiction event attracting authors of international repute.

Rugby Fans Drink The Bar Dry as Theakstons Becomes The Official Cask Beer of Bath
Independent Yorkshire brewer T&R Theakston has become the ‘Official Cask Ale Supplier’ to Bath Rugby, in a major sponsorship designed to raise the profile of two of its most popular ales, XB and Best Bitter within the sporting community.
As part of its sponsorship Theakstons has created a unique real ale bar made from original wooden beer casks by its cooper, Jonathan Manby, to be enjoyed by fans and players alike. The entire bar is Theakstons branded, including wall displays, bar towels, drip mats and glasses.

Boozy Bangers and Pie Launched or Beer With Food Week
Three of Yorkshire’s most prestigious businesses, Theakstons the brewers, Weeton’s Grocers and Voakes Pies are joining together to give a ‘Peculier twist’ to two of the nations favourite foods, in celebration of Beer with Food Week, 2 – 8 April.
The Masham-based, family brewer of one of Britain’s best known range of traditional ales since 1827 is working with the glamorous grocer and champion pie maker to create culinary delights to be sold exclusively in-store at Weeton’s, Harrogate during the week.

Theakstons Leads The Way at Earls Court
The opening parade of this year’s Great British Beer Festival at Earls Court, was given extra pulling power from Yorkshire courtesy of Ruby and George, the Theakstons dray horses.
The Horses, which travelled a 500 mile round trip to head the procession on the eve of the festival, gave a taste of Yorkshire tradition to this year’s event which is the world's largest showcase for real ales.
The annual festival, now 29 years old, attracts small microbreweries, family brewers and some of the world's best known brands.

Enjoy an 'Old Peculier' Christmas From Theakstons
Theakstons brewery plans to celebrate the festive season for the third year running, by producing a limited edition miniature wooden cask of its legendary Old Peculier ale.
The Masham-based, family brewer is offering visitors to their brewery the chance to purchase a 4.5 gallon mini cask (36 pints), known as a Pin from their Visitor Centre. A limited number will be hand-crafted by the brewery’s cooper, Jonathan Manby who was the last apprenticed cooper in England. He is now one of only five remaining coopers in the UK, making Theakstons one of the few brewers left in the country that is committed to the tradition of coopering.

Theakstons Offers a Taste of Paradise!
Independent Yorkshire brewer T&R Theakston is launching a special fruity little number this month in the form of Paradise Ale – a unique seasonal ale created to offer a lighter, luscious flavour perfect for complementing alfresco drinking during the month of May.
Brewed in Masham and containing a blend of traditional hops including Cascade, a new world variant of the traditional Fuggle hop, the 4.2% ABV beer has a delicious, fruity flavour and thirst quenching characteristic perfect for drinking during the warm summer months.
