Background
 
T&R Theakston Ltd is an independent, family brewing company founded in 1827 located in the Yorkshire Dales market town of Masham, North Yorkshire. The company is controlled and run by direct family descendants of the founder Robert Theakston. Theakston is one of Britain’s oldest established family brewing companies and is now looking to exploit and develop new business opportunities within their existing customer base including major national brewing and pub companies, particularly in the north of England. T&RT is already a major player in the UK On trade and has identified new specific channel opportunities for Theakston beer brand portfolio specifically in targeted Wholesale and National Accounts both directly and indirectly supplied, direct sales, internet- based sales, brand licensing agreement sales and, separately, the development of a new trading vehicle. 
 
Because of the  increase in direct sales responsibilities, T&RT is reshaping its internal resource allocation, and to undertake organisation change through the immediate recruitment of a Telephone Sales Manager in support of the Director of Sales and the Brand Ambassador team .    Principal requirement.
 
To establish this new role, we are seeking a highly experienced Telephone Sales professional who will establish themselves as an integral part of a well-established team in a rapidly changing UK beer market comprising challenges and opportunities in equal measure. To be responsible for driving sales enquiries via outgoing and incoming calls, to be the conduit for all sales enquiries, prospecting, transfer order processing, developing relationships with national beer and pun groups Regional Sales Managers and Licensees plus our partner Wholesalers and most importantly of all supporting our team of Sales Development Managers to help them optimise their time.
 
Core responsibilities
 
General 
 
• To establish this new role by using experience and knowledge • To be the conduit for all incoming On Trade Sales enquiries determining the route to market and most appropriate way to gain new stockist of T&R Theakston brands by using: - o T&R Theakston Sales Development Managers o Third party On trade Sales Managers o Partner Wholesalers • To analyse and utilise DATA that will support:
o External prospecting calls o Brand Sales via the telephone o Transfer Order capture on behalf of our trading partners  o To complete outgoing courtesy calls to existing customers • To establish a relationship with our Sales Development Managers supporting their call journeys via appointments for sales opportunities
 
Specific
 
1 Existing On trade sales  • Develop and maintain 
 
2 New T&RT On Trade business opportunities via existing trading partners • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the agreed ale strategy through existing direct delivered account base across all On trade channels. 
 
3 New T&RT On Trade business opportunities  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across indirect route to market customers who are regional and national wholesalers
 
 
 
The Candidate
 
We are looking for a passionate, committed, self-motivated, team player with a proven track record of sales success. The Candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of working within a demanding sales or telephone sales environment and must be an experienced professional who can hit the ground running. He/she must be able to demonstrate sophisticated interpersonal skills necessary for success in a multi-faceted sales environment at all levels. The candidate should have the necessary conviction needed to win over colleagues and customers in a rapidly changing market. - Experience of the beer market would be advantageous. - The Role will be home based with a requirement to attend team sales meetings - You should be demonstrably computer literate with a proven competency of using Microsoft Office
