We are currently looking for a Finance Assistant to join our busy Finance Administration Team.
Job Description
- Managing the day-to-day Purchase Ledger, matching purchase orders, delivery notes to invoices and inputting the information onto Sage.
- Reconciling Supplier Statements.
- Deal with all purchase enquires by telephone and email.
- Prepare BACS payments for approval.
- Management of expenditure receipts.
- Generate coding and investigate mis-postings.
- Providing cover and support to the Finance Administration Team, including sales, distribution and stock transactions.
Requirements
- Previous Purchase Ledger experience desirable but not essential.
- The applicant must be comfortable in an office environment and being part of a small team.
- A flexible approach to roles and duties, being prepared to take on varied tasks at short notice.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Keen attention to detail and the self-discipline to work to a precise level of accuracy.
- Must have a strong knowledge of IT systems such as Excel and preferably experience using Sage Line 50 but not essential.
Contract: 12 months maternity cover
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Office based, The Brewery, Masham, HG4 4YD
Expected Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Salary £24,500 per annum
